Greg Ball has over 10 years experience in the forestry sector in manufacturing, production and maintenance including heavy and automated equipment and was a Mill Manager supervising up to 100 staff in his final years. He has been with ICC since 2007 as Facility and Operations Manager for the Nanaimo facility, and in 2008 became a Certified Compost Operator with the Canadian Composting Council.

He is involved at all levels of operations including production, maintenance, and quality control. Greg works closely with the engineering team, providing operational input and support for ongoing R&D projects. He has become an expert with ICC's in-vessel technology and is continually improving the operational processes.

Dr. Brian D. Bornhold is Vice-President of CORI and also has more than 25 years of marine geological experience from the nearshore to the deep sea and in diverse parts of the world. He has published extensively on marine sedimentary processes, on continental shelf environments and on geological hazards in coastal, shelf and deep sea areas.

Dr. Bornhold has degrees in earth sciences (B.Sc.; University of Waterloo), geology (M.Sc., Duke University), marine geology (Ph.D., Massachusetts Institute of Technology-Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution) and public policy (National Defence College of Canada).

He has been involved in several international projects off West Africa, the Caribbean, South America, the Middle East, and China and has participated in U.N.-sponsored training programs related to assessment of geological hazards to petroleum development off southern China.

Marine Processes (Submarine Slope Stability)
Dr. Bornhold is a specialist in coastal and marine geological processes, and has brought innovation to research programs on submarine slope stability in various regions, especially Canada, Alaska, China, and the Middle East. He has carried out assessments of seabed geologic hazards as part of electrical transmission and telecommunications cable projects, and of gas pipeline corridor surveys.

Marine Processes (Sedimentology)- A primary focus for Dr. Bornhold has been marine sedimentology. Research topics related to submarine hazards, coastal zone and fjord processes, continental shelf history, ice-rafting processes, geochemistry and mineralogy, as well as placer mineral deposition and movement processes. Areas of study included: Northeast Pacific, China, West Africa, Arctic Ocean, and Arctic Island Channels.

Coastal Research/Marine Geology - Dr. Bornhold has conducted coastal and nearshore studies since 1971, with research projects on west and north coastlines of North America and offshore North Pacific, as well as the South China Sea. Dr. John Harper is President of CORI and brings more than 25 years of coastal research experience to the company. He has published widely on coastal processes, arctic coastal and marine environments, oil spills, and coastal and seabed mapping techniques and protocols.

Dr. Harper has formal training in geology (B.Sc., University of Massachusetts) and in marine sciences (M.Sc. and Ph.D., Louisiana State University). He is an adjunct professor in the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences, University of Victoria (British Columbia, Canada) and supervises graduate students in programs related to coastal and marine geology. He is routinely involved in training programs, including several on oil spill sensitivity mapping (Costa Rica and China).

Over the past 15 years, Dr. Harper has personally managed more than 250 separate projects related to coastal and marine resources including the following disciplines:

Coastal Zone Management - Dr. Harper has been closely involved with coastal management planning in British Columbia and is currently conducting a resource inventory and user needs assessment for the province of British Columbia. He is also involved with the development of marine region classification of Canada for use in environmental ecosystem monitoring. Dr. Harper has been closely involved with the development of coastal habitat classification and mapping systems over the past three years, using state-of-the-art remote sensing and GIS systems.

Oil Spill Research, Planning and Response - oil spill research studies since 1980, including several years of field studies associated with the Baffin Island Oil Spill experiment, sensitivity evaluations for the coasts of northern California, British Columbia, Kodiak Island, the Chukchi and Beaufort Sea coasts of Alaska, the Beaufort Sea coast of Canada, Labrador and Newfoundland.

Other research areas have included the long-term fate of oil on shorelines, decision-making for shoreline cleanup operations and long-term monitoring programs. In 1984, he designed and implemented a physical monitoring program of the MV Puerto Rican oil spill off San Francisco. In 1991, Harper Environmental Services compiled the first Directory of Canadian Marine Oilspill Specialists. In 1992, he directed an Oil Spill Sensitivity Mapping Workshop in Costa Rica for ARPEL.

Dr. Harper has been extensively involved in the EXXON Valdez oil spill cleanup operation in Prince William Sound (1989-1992) with participation in quality assurance for preparation of oiling maps, coordination of the Prince William Sound Fate and Persistence Studies, bioremediation monitoring surveys.

March 5, 2007 - ESI Environmental Sensors Inc. ("ESI", the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Blair Heffelfinger as President and CEO for the Company.

ESI is pleased to announce the appointment of Blair Heffelfinger as President and CEO of the Company. Blair was elected to the Board of Directors at the annual general meeting held on the 14th of December 2006.

His professional career covers senior management roles including; General Manager of FuelCon Systems Inc., an innovative engineering company and leading supplier of testing equipment to the fuel cell industry; Sr. Manager of Methanex Corporation; VP of Business Development of ASA Automation Systems.

His education, all at the University of BC, covers a Bachelor of Science, Masters of Science and a Masters of Business Administration. He has sat on the Boards of BC Biotechnology Alliance, ViaTec and ASA Automation Systems.
