Under her leadership FutureWorks has placed over 3500 individuals in new positions, throughout the BC labour market within the Lower Mainland and province-wide. Her clients have included industry leaders including BC Gas (now Terasen), BC Lotteries, VTech and the federal and provincial government agencies.
Helping people understand the labour market and where they fit in has been a lifelong career. Notably, Dorothy has overseen the development and implementation of transition centres for downsized individuals. She has created an innovative mentoring program called Passport to Knowledge assisting individuals who aspire to enter the science and technology field, and she has spearheaded the design and delivery of nine Careers of the Future booklets that provide comprehensive information for the jobseekers interested in jobs in the local science and technology industry.
