As a coordinator in the field of cooperative education, my role is multi-faceted. My days may include facilitating a workshop on portfolio development, coaching a student to successfully conduct a self-directed work search, or writing an article for the online community.

Alternatively, I could be found presenting to a group of students on the benefits of co-op education. In addition to exploring opportunities with local employers I might also be engaged in discussions with employers as far afield as Quebec or Japan, in industries as seemingly disparate as nutrition science and habitat conservation.

I'm currently the Program Manager of the Faculty of Science and Environment Co-op Program as well as Co-op Coordinator for Statistics and Actuarial Science Co-op.

I am a huge fan of the co-op program as my undergrad degree included co-op, I hired and supervised co-op students when I worked in the high-tech industry, and now I get to assist co-op students with their career development as an SFU co-op staff member.

Previous employment
SFU Engineering Science Co-op Program
UBC Science Co-op Program
Web Systems Consultant
