* Furthering technical interest, training, education and knowledge sharing.
* Promoting efficient use and protection of drinking water and other environmental resources.
* Providing input to government on policy, regulations and guidelines.

Operator Training is at the core of what BCWWA does.Our primary audience is environmental operators and we provide training to 1100 - 1400 annually. This training enhances on the job performance and increases certification success rates.

With a thirty year career in the field of human performance and instruction, Dan has worked as a consultant, trainer, curriculum and instructional designer, project manager, mediator, and facilitator. Dan is a specialist in adult learning design and small group behavior, and has instructed courses in both fields at two universities and six colleges in Western Canada.
In the consulting world, Dan McFaull is an experienced project manager who has organized and led teams of specialists in the successful delivery of multi-year, multi-million dollar projects. In the business world, Dan is a skilled mediator and facilitator, working with boards and decision-making groups of all sizes in both the public and private sectors. Jim Tallman has been managing and developing performance improvement projects since 1979. He has worked in technical and business training projects in many sectors over the years including: telecommunications, logistics, pulp and paper, mining, financial services, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and power utilities.
In the late 1980s Jim developed the Operator Training System which is now widely used by industry for equipment operator training in Canada and internationally.
This system has been used by organizations such as B.C. Hydro, Edmonton Power, and the B.C. Maritime Employers Association, as well as mines, pulp mills and manufacturing companies.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia (1970), and taught Instructional Design at Simon Fraser University for four years.
